CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
Miss Fit Academy offers the most unique and tempting group dance and fitness classes! Our classes cater to a broad spectrum of interests, fitness levels, and artistic inclinations. Why limit yourself to one philosophy or style when you can have it all, exploring through many paths in a comfortable atmosphere that celebrates the every day body? Our approach to dance and fitness is to make it so fun and empowering it will inspire you to feel gorgeous and confident inside and out.
Here, we'll explore the variety of pole dancing, aerial and dance classes available. Choose from any of our sensational classes designed for quality training and absolute fun. Our public classes are offered every week and you can start taking classes at any time during the semester!
CORE CLASSES
Core classes are an essential component of our "higher education" program. They offer a chance for self-discovery and exploration. Students may find new passions or interests that they wouldn't have discovered without them. These classes are offered every semester. Some of them are offered multiple times a week and taught by a variety of instructors with different dance and teaching styles.
AERIAL HAMMOCK
Suspended from the ceiling, a silk hammock cradles you, inviting you to explore movement, strength, and balance in ways you never thought possible. This innovative and graceful form of exercise allows you to break free from the confines of gravity and discover a sense of freedom and empowerment. In each session, you'll embark on a journey that combines the elegance of dance, the artistry of aerial acrobatics, and a hint of yoga. Our experienced instructors will guide you through a series of poses, transitions, and sequences, tailored to all levels of experience, from beginners to seasoned practitioners.

This beginner level class combines flexibility, fluidity and hammock tricks into one gravity defying workout. The perfect mix of fun and challenging! The easy inversions allow for spinal decompression and you can explore a full range of motion in a safe and supported way. This class is great for any fitness or flexibility level.
102
Aerial hammock 102 builds upon the foundations learned in Aerial Hammock 101. Students will get a warm up, learn more challenging hammock tricks, flips and drops and a deep stretch cool down. The last 10 minutes of this 70 minute class are reserved for practicing your moves, getting video and having fun! This class is ideal for students who have taken multiple Aerial Hammock 101 classes. Please consult with your instructor before advancing to the next level. We encourage students to move through class levels at their own pace. Take your time - love the journey!

AERIAL HOOP
Aerial Hoop is a mesmerizing experience that allows you to explore movement, balance, and artistry above the ground. Suspended from the ceiling, the aerial hoop, also known as the lyra, becomes your portal to an enchanting realm of self-expression and physical empowerment. Various sized double point and single point hoops are used as well as a special trapeze hoop.

In this Freshman level class, you will learn a variety of techniques to mount the hoop and basic tricks and poses along with flexibility exercises.

This sophomore level class teaches you a variety of poses and transitions under, inside and above the hoop. It incorporates flexibility and strength based movement to build your upper body and abs, plus all over body flexibility and coordination. You will develop your skills moving toward holding yourself up in this amazing apparatus for minutes at a time! This class is ideal for students who have taken multiple Aerial Hoop 101 classes and are comfortable with all moves in that class, but please consult with your instructor before advancing to the next level. We encourage students to move through class levels at their own pace. Take your time - love the journey!

In this Junior level class, you will learn drops and sequences and build greater strength, stamina, and flexibility. It combines the challenge of aerial hoop training with the fun and artistry of aerial dance. You will learn the dive, single leg drops, single arm moves, meat hooks and skin the cat... just to name a few! This class is ideal for students who have taken multiple Aerial Hoop 102 classes and are comfortable with all moves in that class, but please consult with your instructor before advancing to the next level. We encourage students to move through class levels at their own pace. Take your time - love the journey!

AERIAL SILK
Prepare to be captivated by the awe-inspiring world of aerial silks, where you'll embark on a journey that defies the ordinary and invites you to discover your inner acrobat. Suspended from above, two long, flowing silks become your apparatus for exploration and self-expression. Guided by our experienced instructors, you will dive into a realm that combines the grace of dance, the artistry of aerial acrobatics, and the athleticism of gymnastics. Our classes cater to participants of all levels, from beginners with no prior experience to seasoned aerialists, offering a supportive and empowering environment for your aerial adventure.

This introductory-level silks class is for students who are brand new or still getting comfortable on the silks. Instruction includes the fundamentals of aerial silks, encouraging proper form and technique while learning to execute basic moves close to the ground. The goal at this level is to increase body awareness, gain flexibility and develop increased stamina in a creative and supportive environment.
102
This intermediate level class is for students who have already learned the fundamentals of aerial silks and are ready to explore more challenging poses, wraps, climbing and drops. This class is ideal for students who have taken multiple Silks 101 classes and are comfortable with all moves in that class. Please consult your instructor before advancing to the next level. We encourage students to move through class levels at their own pace. Take your time - love the journey!

POLE DANCE
Our pole dance classes offer an empowering space where you'll learn to fuse athleticism and artistry, all while building a strong, confident, and resilient self. Guided by our experienced instructors, you'll explore the beauty of dance incorporated with a pole. Our classes are thoughtfully designed to accommodate participants of all levels, from beginners with no prior experience to advanced dancers, ensuring a supportive and uplifting environment for all.

This Freshman level class is perfect for those who are new to pole dancing and want to see what it's all about. The class will be filled with beginners just like you! You will learn the fundamentals of pole dance as well as floor work, dance moves and beginner spins. No experience needed! Please Note: Groups of 4 or more are not permitted in our public classes. This is to ensure spots are available for our monthly members. Please book a private group lesson.

We knew you'd get hooked on pole dance! This Sophomore level class will take you to a whole new level with 24 new moves. You will learn new floor work, choreography, climbing and spins that continue building your stamina. As you develop your skills on the pole, you will find your confidence and style as a dancer. We offer nothing but positive support and encouragement as you explore your sensuality in this class. This class is ideal for students who have already taken 2-3 Pole 101 classes. Please consult with your instructor before advancing to the next level. We encourage students to move through class levels at their own pace. Take your time - love the journey! Pole heels optional.

You are on your way to academic achievement in pole dancing! You’ll get straight A’s in awesomeness as you fine tune your climbing and learn the mechanics of spin pole, such as how to control your speed and gain momentum, overcome dizziness and how to put a spin on your existing moves. You will learn spin-worthy poses and turn heads with your new moves, literally! This class will also help you develop clean lines and control in all static pole moves and tricks as well as gain a new perspective - upside down! Must be comfortable doing all moves from Pole Dance Levels 101 - 102. Please consult with your instructor before advancing to the next level. We encourage students to move through class levels at their own pace. Take your time - love the journey! Pole heels optional.

This Junior Varsity level class takes everything you learned in pole levels 101-103 and transforms it into the performance art of pole. You will refine your basic invert, climb at ease and combine moves. You will also learn intricate spins and intermediate tricks on both static and spin pole. More conditioning exercises are added to further enhance muscle strength and confidence on and off the pole. Must be comfortable doing moves from Pole Dance Levels 101 - 103. Please consult with your instructor before advancing to the next level. We encourage students to move through class levels at their own pace. Take your time - love the journey! Pole heels optional.

VARSITY
You are officially admired by all in this advanced static and spin pole class! Spin and strut as you learn the most refined aerial pole tricks, combinations, partner moves, complex transitions and fluidity using static and spin poles. You will be viewing the world from various angles as well as incorporating routines and free dance so you will be able to transition effectively from floor to pole, or just dancing alone. Must be comfortable doing moves from Pole Dance levels 101-104 before attending this class. Please consult your instructor before advancing to the next level. We encourage students to move through class levels at their own pace. Take your time - love the journey! Pole heels optional.
ELECTIVES
Electives are 50-60 minute classes that can be taken along with our core curriculum. Electives compliment core classes by helping you gain flexibility, strength, dive deeper into specific areas, learn choreography and explore new things. Elective classes change every Semester to keep you on your toes!
CHAIR DANCE
Earn your seat at the front of the class with Exotic Chair Dance! Flirt your way to straight A's with your eyes, lips and hips as you tighten and strengthen your physique and feel more confident and sexy in everyday life. Use your new, flirty skills to impress your special someone or just for fun. Class begins with a 15 minute chair-fit warm up. No experience needed!

FLOORPLAY AND FLOW
Floorplay & Flow encompasses sexy floor-play and fluidity in motion. This class is designed specifically for beginners with no experience. Class begins with warming up the joints and spine and then works on lengthening your body through slow and sultry movement. You will learn how to move seamlessly on the floor and create smooth transitions. You will also increase your total body awareness through natural movement and discover your own personal “sexy” style.

THE NAUGHTY HOUR
In this XXX style class, you don't know what you'll get each week...it could be slow, flowy movement, erotic floorwork or stripperesque like P-Valley. One thing is for sure - you will be tapping into your naughty side and leave feeling confident and sexier than before! Classes will be taught by different instructors depending on the week. SPIN POLE BASICS
This hot class will have you spinning right round baby right round! Fun and challenging at the same time, spinning pole will add more depth to your pole dance journey. You will learn the mechanics, such as how to control your speed and gain momentum, overcome dizziness and how to put a spin on your existing pole skills. You will also learn spin-worthy poses and smooth transitions. You will be turning heads with your new moves, literally! *Not recommended if you have vertigo or get dizzy easily*

LOW POLE FLOW
This sophomore level class dives into the low-flow style of pole dancing. You will learn beginner and intermediate level combinations and transitions on the floor and around the base of the pole. Emphasis will be on flow and fluidity. The skills learned in this class will be combined together to create a dance flow.

FLEXIBILITY THRU FLOW
Increase flexibility through floor flow movement. This is a very relaxed, non-intensive way to increase flexibility. The sensual, slow dance-like movements allow your muscles to stay warm while sinking deeper into the moves. All levels welcome!

EXOTIC FLOW POLE
Exotic Flow is a sensual pole dancing class that focuses on fluidity and fine movement. You will learn the hypnotic art of leg waves, body rolls and threading it all together. The routines include dancing with and the around the pole, which will challenge you to blend strength, grace, and artistic expression while offering a captivating experience for students.
Prerequisite: Must be Pole Dance 102 level before attending this class

CONTEMPORARY POLE 102
Contemporary pole dance is made up of spins and transitions combined with elements of modern and ballet dance. Explore the most artistic side of pole dance in a class where fluidity and body expression are combined. As you develop your skills on the pole, you will find your confidence and style as a dancer. We offer nothing but positive support and encouragement as you explore your creativity in this class. This class is ideal for students who have already taken 2-3 Pole 101 classes.
